ERP Success Factors in SMEs: ERP IS NOT A MAGIC WAND!

With many digital developments in today's world, companies have started to take measures for the coming years. In the Industry 4.0 transition period, many brands want to undertake sustainable, easy-to-follow and socially-oriented works within the company. Here, too, the issue comes to a powerful, easy and fast ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning). By purchasing ERP services, which are information systems in which all data and processes of an organization are integrated at a single point, companies enter into great expectations with the installation of software. However, the situation is not that easy. This problem is also caused by marketing mistakes of ERP companies. With fancy phrases and slogans in marketing, the customer is made to forget his own role.

ERP is a combination of many principles such as;

-Change of corporate culture,

-Focusing on processes that have been inactive beginning from management,

-The correct functioning and development of the mind of the firm's intelligence,

-The company is a constantly learning organization,

-The company's compatibility with teamwork,

-Compliance of the company and its employees with open communication,

-Management exhibiting a sustainable and stable management,

-It is the management's dealing with the system, not the employees.

The main thing to change here is the company-customer itself. ERP is not just software. ERP is not a magic wand, either.
