Hello, first of all, let's get to know you?
Hello, I am Mehmet Erbay, and was born in Manisa. I graduated from 9 Eylül University Industrial Engineering Department. I have been in the textile industry for 18 years. I have been working as an EDS Project Manager at Veritas Tekstil for 9 years.
Can we get information from you about Veritas Tekstil?
Veritas Tekstil is a young company. It was founded 10 years ago. It continues its activities on towel and bathrobe products with approximately 900 employees. We are a company that exports over 95 percent. We send our products to European Union countries, mainly the United States of America.
How did you meet with EDS?
I met EDS as soon as I graduated from university. I have been using EDS since 2004. I can say that EDS is a part of my life. Veritas Tekstil has been using EDS since its establishment.
So what does EDS add to Veritas Tekstil? What are your favorite features?
EDS has come a long way over time. As someone who has been using EDS for nearly 20 years, I can easily say that the point EDS has reached is a very good place. EDS was previously the train, now it has reached the level of the spacecraft. As Veritas Tekstil, we carry out all our processes through EDS. 130 people actively use EDS during the day. Just as the production stops when the electricity is cut off, if we turn off the EDS, things start to fail. After receiving the order from the customer, we process all stages such as sewing, processing and loading through the EDS system. Recently, we also use the Enfotek Human Resources Module.
The most important feature of the EDS system for Veritas Tekstil is that it provides information flow. We keep things under control by getting rid of the burden of e-mails, papers and words with the warning buttons. EDS is especially good at reporting. My personal favorite feature is the reporting section. I can report myself without the need for a software developer. I can instantly present the requested reports and information to the management
